Alimony Recovery

Alimony Recovery

The amounts provided by the fund to those entitled to alimony are not grants or gifts, but rather loans that the obligor, who is required to pay alimony, is obliged to repay to the fund. The fund maintains a separate account for each recipient, and the disbursed amounts are considered debts in the recipient's name for the benefit of the fund. These funds are public funds that the fund is required to recover in accordance with the prevailing legislation. The recovery can be done through the following methods:

Recovery from the Obligor :

In certain cases, the fund may request the obligor to return the amounts received if it becomes apparent that the obligor obtained the alimony or loan through deception or if it is established that the obligor was financially self-sufficient and not in need of alimony or a loan. The fund also reserves the right to take legal action against individuals who provided false or misleading information to the fund, subjecting them to appropriate legal actions and penalties under the law and relevant regulations.
